About Me

Colorado has always felt like home to me. Whether it’s hiking with my dog or skiing in these beautiful mountains, I’m grateful to be here! I grew up in the mid west and made my way out to sunny San Diego first to get my Masters degree in Marriage Family Therapy. My passion for working with children and adolescents  began shortly thereafter doing outpatient therapy at Children's Hospital. After this experience, I quickly became a believer in the power of the therapeutic relationship as well as the strength of the human spirit. I was amazed at the growth and resiliency of these clients as they took risks to discover their strengths, open their heart and heal the parts that no longer served them. While I have a special place in my heart for adolescent work, I truly enjoy working with adult clients as well on a variety of issues.

I have many years of experience working with clients who have anxiety, depression, attachment issues, relationship issues, perfectionism, codependency, trauma and grieving a significant loss.

My approach is collaborative in nature and I partner with clients who are open to the possibility of making positive changes to live a more balanced and healthy life. I find myself connecting with individuals who are going through a major life transition. Choosing a therapist and therapy in general is not easy, and I hope to create a safe and healing space for you to do so.

After seeing the growth in my clients in the school systems, I was driven to pursue my license in School Counseling. Counseling in the schools has provided a strong educational framework as well. As an individual therapist, I am mostly drawn to solution-focused therapy, which empowers clients to discover and apply their strengths and learn healthy coping skills. Incorporating the arts and music in to therapy has been beneficial for adolescents in my work. I practice somatic work, mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy. In addition, I am certified in equine therapy which is a powerful healing modality that supports clients in self regulation. I am looking forward to putting this in to practice in the Valley!
